Terms of Service
Last updated: April 29, 2026
These terms govern your use of NestNotice at nestnotice.com(“the Service”), operated by NestNotice (“we,” “us,” “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.
The service
NestNotice checks public official recall information relevant to baby and child products. When a product on your tracking list appears to match a supported recall notice, we send you an email alert with a link back to the official source.
Important disclaimer
NestNotice is an informational service. It is not a substitute for checking official recall sources yourself.
- We do our best to catch every relevant recall quickly, but we cannot guarantee we will catch every recall, or catch it instantly. There may be delays between an agency publishing a notice and our system processing it.
- Our matching depends on the product information you provide. If a product name, brand, or model is entered incorrectly or incompletely, we may not match it to a recall.
- Always follow the official agency or manufacturer guidance for any recalled product. Our summaries are provided for convenience, not as official safety guidance.
Accounts
You need an account to use NestNotice. You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. One account per person — please don’t share accounts (family access is planned for Premium+ and should be treated as unavailable until launched).
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account. NestNotice is a service for adults caring for children, not a service for children.
Free and planned paid plans
NestNotice currently offers a free tier. Paid tiers are planned but are not available for purchase until checkout, pricing, cancellation, and plan enforcement are fully verified.
- Free — track up to 5 products with official recall email alerts from supported sources. Free forever, no credit card required.
- Premium — planned paid tier for expanded product limits, expanded hazard-signal review as available, curated safer-alternative research as available, and priority support. Paid checkout is not yet enabled.
- Premium+ — planned tier for family accounts and registry import features. Targeted for Q3 2026 and unavailable until launched.
Paid pricing and billing terms will be shown clearly before any purchase. If paid terms change after billing launches, we’ll provide notice consistent with applicable law and the billing terms shown at purchase.
Billing and cancellation
- Paid checkout is not currently enabled in this app. You should not enter payment information unless a verified checkout flow is available and clearly identifies the payment processor.
- Payment processing may be handled by Stripe or another disclosed payment processor after paid billing launches.
- Cancellation, refund, renewal, and downgrade terms will be shown before purchase and reflected in account settings or support workflows once paid billing is live.
- If a paid account later downgrades to the free tier, only the free-tier product limit may remain actively monitored unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase.
Acceptable use
Don’t use NestNotice to:
- Scrape, resell, or redistribute our data or recall summaries at scale.
- Create fake accounts or abuse the free tier limits.
- Interfere with the service, other users, or our infrastructure.
- Violate any applicable law.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Intellectual property
The NestNotice name, logo, design, and original content are ours. Recall information is sourced from public official notices and may include references to agency, manufacturer, or third-party materials that remain subject to their own rights and terms. Your product list and personal data belong to you — see our Privacy Policy.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NestNotice and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Missed or delayed recall notifications.
- Incorrect or incomplete recall matching.
- Any injury or damage resulting from continued use of a recalled product.
- Service downtime or interruptions.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or the Service is limited to the amount you’ve paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or $50, whichever is greater).
Indemnification
You agree to hold NestNotice harmless from claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these terms.
Service availability
We aim for high uptime but don’t guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. If we shut down entirely, we’ll give you at least 30 days to export your data.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. For significant changes, we’ll notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of California.
